Bernd Ehle a rejoint LALIVE en 2003. Il est spécialisé en arbitrage international et a participé en tant que conseil et arbitre à de nombreux arbitrages internationaux, tant ad hoc que sous l’égide de diverses institutions, et soumis à divers droits de procédure et de fond, dont les droits suisse, allemand, anglais, français, turque, ukrainien et de New York. Son expérience porte sur les principaux aspects des transactions commerciales, notamment sur les litiges relatifs aux joint-ventures, fusions et acquisitions, distributions, et aux projets dans les secteurs de la construction, les télécommunications et l’énergie. Il agit également dans le cadre de procédures devant les tribunaux suisses, en particulier en rapport avec des arbitrages internationaux.

Bernd Ehle est depuis plusieurs années référencé comme spécialiste par Chambers, Legal 500 et Who’s Who (arbitrage et construction). Me Ehle est Fellow du Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) et ancien membre du comité de la branche européenne du même institut. Entre 2007 et 2017, il a été co-président du groupe genevois de l’Association suisse de l’arbitrage (ASA). Me Ehle est membre du comité exécutif de la Foundation for International Arbitration Advocacy (FIAA) and co-préside le groupe « Construction » de l’Institut Allemand de l’Arbitrage (DIS). De plus, il donne régulièrement des conférences et est l’auteur de nombreuses publications en matière d’arbitrage international et de droit de la construction.

Avant de rejoindre LALIVE, Me Ehle exerçait en Allemagne au sein de Graf von Westphalen, à Fribourg, (de 2000 à 2003), et d’Ehle & Schiller, à Cologne, (de 1998 à 1999) dans les domaines du droit commercial, du droit des sociétés, du contentieux et du droit européen. Il a étudié aux Universités de Fribourg et de Heidelberg en Allemagne, à l’Université de Genève et à l’Institut universitaire de Hautes Études internationales (IUHEI) de Genève de 1991 et 1996. Me Ehle a obtenu son premier examen d’État à Heidelberg en 1996 et son second examen d’État à Fribourg en 1998. Il est également titulaire d’un master (LL.M) de la Northwestern University School of Law, Chicago, USA (2000), et d’un doctorat de l’Université de Heidelberg (2001).
