Sandrine Giroud a rejoint LALIVE en 2009 et en est associée depuis 2017. Elle est spécialisée en contentieux suisse et international en matière commerciale, fraude et recouvrement d’avoirs, criminalité économique, assistance judiciaire en matière civile et pénale (y compris extradition), droit de l’art, droit des successions et des trusts, droit des médias, ainsi que droit international public (notamment immunités de juridiction et d’exécution) et droits de l’homme.

Elle conseille et représente régulièrement sociétés et individus pour recouvrer ou protéger leurs actifs par le biais de mesures provisionnelles, séquestre, procédure de reconnaissance et exécution de jugements étrangers et sentences arbitrales, procédures d’insolvabilité transfrontalières ou exécution de contrats ainsi que des procédures de compliance et enquêtes internes. Sa pratique l’amène également à représenter des collectionneurs, professionnels de l’art et musées concernant des litiges et des affaires transactionnelles en art. Son expérience dans la gestion des affaires particulièrement sensibles lui permet d’appréhender tant les aspects juridiques que stratégiques tels que réputationnels ou médiatiques.

Sandrine Giroud est membre de nombreuses associations professionnelles dont l’Ordre des avocats de Genève (ODA), la Fédération suisse des avocats (FSA/SAV), l‘International Bar Association (IBA), la Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) et l’Association genevoise du droit des affaires (AGDA). Elle est membre du Conseil de l’Ordre et présidente de la Commission des droits de l’Homme de l’Ordre des avocats de Genève ainsi qu’ un officer de l’IBA Litigation Committee. Passionnée d’art, elle est aussi membre de plusieurs organisations dans ce domaine telles que le Conseil du Musée national suisse, le Conseil de la Fondation pour le droit de l’art (qu’elle a co-dirigé de 2014 à 2017), la Task Force de la Responsible Art Market Initiative (RAM), ainsi que les Professional Advisors to the International Art Market (PAIAM). Elle intervient régulièrement dans des conférences internationales et publie fréquemment dans ses domaines de spécialisation.

Avant de rejoindre LALIVE, Sandrine Giroud était collaboratrice scientifique à l’Office fédéral de la justice à Berne (2006-08). Elle est diplômée de l’Université de Fribourg (2003) et a étudié à l’Université de Bristol (2000-01) ainsi qu’au Centre de droit international humanitaire de l’Université de Nottingham (2004). Elle est également titulaire d’un LL.M. en règlement des différends internationaux délivré conjointement par l’Université de Genève et l’Institut de Hautes Études Internationales et du Développement (2009) et d’un certificat avancé STEP en droit des trusts (2012).
