Four new associates join the firm (July – September 2011)

LALIVE is pleased to welcome four new associates to the firm

Dr Eleanor Cashin Ritaine is a French and Swiss qualified attorney (Geneva bar) who specializes in international commercial law, with a special focus on the banking sector, and international dispute resolution. Before joining LALIVE, she was the director of the Swiss Institute of Comparative Law in Lausanne. Dr Cashin Ritaine graduated from the Law School at the University of Nancy. She holds an EMBA in Management and Corporate Finance from HEC Lausanne, a double French and German PhD in comparative and international business law from the Universities of Nancy and Saarbrücken, and the Hague Diploma of international law. She is trilingual English, French and German.

Joana Elliott is an attorney qualified in Canada (Québec) and France (Paris) who joins the firm’s international arbitration group. Ms Elliott was previously employed in Geneva with two international law firms and at the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.  She holds an M.A. and a combined common law and civil law degree from McGill University in Montreal (Canada).  She speaks English, French, Arabic and Spanish.

Céline Marthe and Héloïse Rordorf are Swiss qualified attorneys (Geneva Bar) who join our litigation group. Céline Marthe holds a Master of Law with majors in business law and public law from the University of Neuchâtel. She previously worked as an associate with Schellenberg Wittmer in Geneva. She speaks French, English, German and Italian. Héloïse Rordorf trained at the University of Geneva where she obtained her law degree. She previously practiced with Bär & Karrer and Brown & Page in Geneva. She speaks French and English.
