LALIVE again among top seven firms worldwide in number of nominees in the International Who’s Who of Commercial Arbitration (January 2012)

1 January 2012

With six nominees in the 2012 edition of the International Who’s Who of Commercial Arbitration, LALIVE is again ranked among the top firms worldwide in international arbitration.  Specifically LALIVE is the seventh firm in terms of number of nominees, with only six very large US/UK firms ahead of it.  LALIVE is not only the best ranked Swiss firm but also the best ranked continental European firm and the only firm with less than 100 lawyers appearing in the top twelve, confirming LALIVE’s position as an international arbitration power house.  One of the firm’s arbitration partners, Michael E. Schneider, is ranked among the top 20 most highly regarded individuals.

LALIVE has been ranked for many years as one of the best arbitration practices worldwide by Chambers and Global Arbitration Review – GAR, as well as Legal500.  Most of the firm’s arbitration partners are also ranked individually by Chambers and two of them appeared in the GAR survey, 45under45, of the best international arbitration practitioners under the age of 45 (2005 & 2011).

The 2012 nominees are Pierre Lalive, Michael E. Schneider, Teresa Giovannini, Veijo Heiskanen, Matthias Scherer and Domitille Baizeau.  For more information see the Legal marketplace analysis of the 2012 edition of International Who’s Who of Commercial Arbitration.
