LALIVE hosts a seminar on the role of dispute boards in construction disputes (March 2013)

On 1 March 2013, LALIVE, together with the European Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) hosted a seminar held at the firm’s Geneva office on “The Role of Dispute Boards”. Following a warm welcome by construction arbitration partner, Bernd Ehle,  Wolf von Kumberg, European Legal Director of Northrop Grumman, John Wright, Chair of CIArb’s Board of Trustees and Partner at Goodman Derrick LLP, and Michel Nardin, Senior Partner of PMG Consulting Engineers & Economists, provided an overview of the setting up and operation of dispute boards, in particular under the FIDIC Conditions and the ICC Dispute Board Rules, and discussed the advantages of dispute boards by means of practical examples. The presentations were followed by a Q&A session moderated by Shawn Conway, Partner of Conway & Partners, and a cocktail reception. For more information, see the programme.
