The Litigation Committee is one of the largest committees of the IBA and focuses on the legal, practical and procedural issues involved in conducting litigation. The issues arising in international litigation receive particular attention, including issues such as jurisdiction, choice of law, and the role of international judicial assistance in dispute resolution.
The Business Crime Committee’s primary objective is to provide a forum for members to meet and address core and recent white collar crime issues. The Committee works with the Criminal Law Committee and the Anti-Corruption Committee to form the Criminal Law Section of the IBA.
The Anti-Corruption Committee provides an international forum for private and public-sector practitioners to share best practices and discuss the latest developments in anti-corruption laws, compliance practices, enforcement trends and asset recovery issues, as well as prosecution guidance and government policy. Committee members also assist one another in understanding transnational corruption and share domestic legal expertise.
Geneva Litigation Partner Sandrine Giroud specialises in domestic and international litigation, with a focus on commercial disputes, fraud and asset recovery, white collar crime, mutual legal assistance in civil and criminal matters (including extradition), art and cultural property, trust and estate, media law, as well as public international law (including immunities from jurisdiction and enforcement) and human rights. Zurich Litigation Partner Simone Nadelhofer specialises in white collar crime and regulatory investigations and advises clients on crisis management, compliance and remedial action. She is regularly retained by corporate clients in cross-border investigations by Swiss and foreign authorities, including U.S. authorities, and leads large-scale internal investigations. Zurich Litigation Partner Matthias Gstoehl specialises in complex domestic and multi-jurisdictional proceedings and investigations, including fraud and white-collar crime, asset recovery, international mutual assistance, international sanctions and ESG-related disputes.
These appointments reinforce the Firm’s strong commitment to the IBA, the world’s leading legal professional organisation, in which members of the firm also hold key positions in other practice areas, including Noradele Radjai (Vice-Chair of the IBA Arbitration Committee) and Sam Moss (Officer of the International Construction Projects Committee).See all news
