LALIVE partners Veijo Heiskanen and Matthias Scherer to teach in L.L.M on International Arbitration in Romania

15 October 2013

Following the increasing role played by arbitration in Romania, the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest has recently launched an English-language L.L.M in International Arbitration, the first one of its kind in Romania. LALIVE partners Veijo Heiskanen and Matthias Scherer, who are recognised worldwide for their expertise in the field, have been appointed as Visiting Professors.

The L.L.M in International Arbitration, which was launched on 1 October 2013, aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the theory and practice of both international commercial arbitration and specialised arbitration such as investment, construction, intellectual property and sports arbitration. The course is addressed to all practitioners with an interest in international relations, as well as at practitioners seeking to specialise in international arbitration.

Dr Heiskanen and Mr Scherer’s appointments on this postgraduate degree follow a long tradition of academic engagements by LALIVE lawyers. Further information on the academic posts held by LALIVE lawyers can be found here.

For further information on the L.L.M Programme, please see the course presentation.
