LALIVE strengthens its Litigation team with the appointment of Roman Huber15 April 2019
LALIVE is pleased to announce that Roman Huber has joined the firm’s Litigation practice group as Counsel and will be based in the firm’s Zurich office.
Roman Huber specializes in domestic and cross border commercial and criminal litigation, representing clients before all Swiss courts at all stages of the dispute resolution process with a special focus on disputes in a wide range of sectors including banking, IT, and life sciences. He regularly acts in complex proceedings before state courts and arbitral tribunals and advises clients on various contractual issues in the pre-litigation phase.
In addition, he has wide experience in large-scale internal investigations relating to white collar crime and regulatory issues, representing clients in investigations by Swiss and foreign authorities, including U.S. authorities. His practice also covers compliance, international mutual legal and administrative assistance proceedings, anti-money laundering and anti-bribery.
His appointment will further strengthen the firm’s established litigation practice led by eight partners and a growing team of 25 lawyers focusing on domestic civil and criminal litigation, with a strong focus on commercial disputes and investigations.
Roman Huber joins from leading Swiss firm Bär & Karrer, where he practiced for eight years. He also worked for the Chair of Private Law at the University of Zurich where he completed his Ph.D. (magna cum laude) in 2013. He also holds an LL.M. from the University of New South Wales (Sydney) and a Masters’ degree in Law from the University of Lucerne (summa cum laude).
A Swiss national, Roman Huber speaks English, German and French.
