LALIVE again ranked among the top firms in international arbitration (Chambers)

3 February 2009

LALIVE has again been ranked in the top 25 worldwide by Chambers Global 2009 in international arbitration, one of only two continental European firms and the only Swiss firm in the rankings. The firm has also been ranked in the top twelve in Europe (Band 3) in international arbitration, and in the top three (Band 1) for dispute resolution among firms based in Switzerland. (See Chambers Global 2009.) According to the commentary, “market commentators admire the group’s strong presence in the arbitration arena, and its ‘impressive reputation worldwide for public international law cases’ in particular. A sizeable team of notable lawyers offers clients the ‘necessary experience to act on complex cases’. […] The firm is best known for representing clients in arbitration proceedings, but also provides comprehensive assistance with domestic litigation matters before the Swiss courts, cross-border commercial litigation and white-collar crimes. Its busy workload includes representing an extensive, global client list of governments, major retailers and companies in the energy sector on multimillion-dollar dispute proceedings.” (See Commentary.)

In 2006, 2007 and 2008, LALIVE was already ranked by Chambers Global as the leading continental European firm in international arbitration and in 2008 as one of the three leading firms in dispute resolution for Switzerland.
