Matthias Scherer appointed as Chair of the sub-committee on conflicts of interests by the IBA Committee on Arbitration
2 January 2008The International Bar Association (IBA)’s Arbitration Committee has announced its new officers for 2008. Matthias Scherer of LALIVE has been appointed as Chair of the sub-committee on conflicts of interests, effective as at 1 January 2008. The appointment is for two years. The IBA’s Arbitration Committee focuses on laws, practice and procedures relating to the arbitration of transnational disputes. The Committee has four subcommittees relating to: the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards; investment treaty arbitration; conflicts of interest; and the IBA Rules of Evidence.
