Matthias Scherer reelected to the Disciplinary Commission of the International Gymnastics Federation

LALIVE partner Matthias Scherer has been reelected to the Disciplinary Commission of the International Gymnastics Federation, a position he has held since 2013. This commission, which includes six lawyers, deals with infringements to FIG statutes, regulations and principles by FIG member federations, gymnasts and officials.

The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) is the governing body for gymnastics worldwide. It is the oldest established international sports federation and has participated in the Olympic Games since their revival in 1896. The FIG governs seven disciplines including Gymnastics for All, Men’s Artistic, Women’s Artistic, Rhythmic, Trampoline, Aerobic and Acrobatic. It counts 148 national member federations.
