Sandrine Giroud appointed to the Council of the Swiss National Museum

10 November 2015

The Swiss Federal Council has appointed LALIVE Counsel Sandrine Giroud to the Council of the Swiss National Museum, with effect from 1 January 2016  This appointment is parallel to her role as Counsel at LALIVE and Co-Director of the Art Law Foundation, and consistent with her active involvement in Art Law.

The Council is the strategic body of the Swiss National Museum which includes three museums: The National Museum Zurich, Château de Prangins, the Forum of Swiss History Schwyz and The Collection Centre in Affoltern. One of the main purposes of the Swiss National Museum is to protect the material and immaterial memory of Switzerland in collaboration with other museums in Switzerland. The exhibitions of the Swiss National Museum present Swiss history from its beginnings to the present, and give an insight into Swiss identities and the rich tapestry of the country’s history and culture.
