Swiss banking regulator FINMA appoints Alexander Troller to the creditors’ committee of Banque Privée Espirito Santo (Suisse) SA in liquidation
19 May 2016Following a decision on 19 May 2016, Swiss banking regulator FINMA has appointed LALIVE partner Alexander Troller to the creditors’ committee of Banque Privée Espirito Santo (Suisse) SA in liquidation. The creditors’ committee of the former Portuguese financial group’s Swiss subsidiary comprises 6 lawyers which were selected out of 51 applications received by FINMA for their qualifications and experience in Swiss banking, civil and bankruptcy law. This committee will be entrusted by FINMA to carry out a number of tasks which include the supervision of the liquidator, authorise the continuation of BPES’ banking activity and approve the provisional allocation to creditors, among others.
