Areas of focus
Devon Robertson joined LALIVE in 2022 and specialises in international commercial and investment arbitration. She has acted as counsel in proceedings conducted under most major rules of arbitration (including ICC, UNCITRAL and SIAC) and governed by various procedural and substantive laws. She has experience representing sovereign and private entities in disputes relating to a wide range of sectors, with a particular focus on energy-related disputes (notably about gas pricing) and infrastructure-related disputes.
Before joining LALIVE, Devon Robertson was an international arbitration associate at White & Case in Paris (2017-2022). She also gained experience at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague and at a leading Canadian business law firm in Toronto. Previously, she worked as the Assistant Dean of a Canadian law school.
Devon Robertson holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa (2015). During her studies, she participated in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and was an oralist for the winning team in 2015. She also holds a Master’s in Criminology from the University of Melbourne (2008) and a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University (2007).
