Lorette Giacometti is a Swiss qualified lawyer, who joined LALIVE in 2022. Her main areas of practice are international investment and commercial arbitration and public international law.
Before joining LALIVE, Lorette Giacometti was a Legal Advisor to the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), where she was specialising in international investment law, negotiating, inter alia, bilateral and multilateral investment protection treaties.
Lorette Giacometti is a member of the Swiss Association for International Law (SVIR).
Lorette Giacometti holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Bern and a Master of Laws from both the University of Basel and the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg i. Br., and a Master in European Laws from the University Robert Schuman of Strasbourg. She also obtained a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in European Law from the University of Zurich with a focus on investment law. Finally, Lorette Giacometti holds a graduate degree (LL.M.) in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS) from the Geneva Law School and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. Lorette Giacometti was admitted to the Swiss bar in 2016.
