Maël Deschamps joined LALIVE in 2021 as an associate, after completing an internship at the firm in 2020. He specialises in international arbitration, including investor-State and commercial arbitration.
Before joining LALIVE, Mr. Deschamps trained in Paris with Squire Patton Boggs (2018-2019) and Latham & Watkins (2021). He also assisted an arbitrator in Paraguay (2018). His experience includes acting in international arbitrations under the ICSID, ICC, EDF, Swiss and UNCITRAL rules, governed by international law and various national laws.
Mr. Deschamps holds master’s degrees in Economic Law from Sciences Po and in Litigation, Arbitration and ADR from Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas. During his studies, Maël Deschamps participated and served as a coach in various moot court competitions.
