Laurence Ponty joined LALIVE in 2013. Her main area of practice is international commercial arbitration. She has acted as counsel and tribunal secretary in various international proceedings (under the ICC, the LCIA, the Swiss, the UNCITRAL and the AAA/ICDR Rules) in relation to international contracts disputes, in particular in the energy, construction, engineering, telecommunications and services sectors. She also has experience in large cross-border litigations and corporate matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Laurence Ponty worked as Counsel at the Secretariat of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) in London, where she administered dozens of arbitration proceedings, with a particular focus on matters involving parties from the CIS region (2010-2013). She also practiced international arbitration and litigation as an associate with Bonnard Lawson in Geneva (2006-2010).
Laurence Ponty holds a Master in International Commercial Law from the University of Paris I Panthéon – Sorbonne (2003), as well a Master’s degree in French Business Law and a postgraduate diploma in Russian Law from the French-Russian program of the University Paris X Nanterre (2002).
