Caroline joined LALIVE as a trainee in October 2022.

Caroline holds a PhD in Roman law (2021, summa cum laude, Prix Joseph des Arts 2022, Professor Walther Hug prize 2023), a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Legal Professions (2022), a Master of Laws (2015) and a Bachelor of Laws (2013), all from the University of Geneva.

During her doctoral studies, from 2015 to 2021, Caroline worked as a research and teaching assistant and was a regular lecturer in Roman law to first-year law students. She also was visiting student under the supervision of Prof. Peter Garnsey at the University of Cambridge (2017 – 2018) and worked as a researcher in Rome at the Istituto Svizzero and the Istituto di diritto romano e dei diritti dell’Oriente mediterraneo e di storia del diritto at the Sapienza University (2017).

Caroline is the recipient of several scholarships (Boninchi, Fondation Zdenek and Michaela Bakala, Subside Tremplin 2020).
