Marc Henzelin elected as an Alternate Judge at the Cour de Cassation of Geneva

On 4 June 2009, Marc Henzelin was elected by the Geneva Parliament to be an alternate judge at the Cour de Cassation. The Cour de Cassation is the highest judicial instance in the Canton of Geneva. Alternate judges are practicing lawyers or former magistrates who regularly hear cases but do so on an ad hoc basis, unlike career judges.
