Marc Henzelin elected Co-Chair of the Business Crime Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA)
Marc Henzelin was elected Co-Chair of the Business Crime Committee of the International Bar Association during the Annual Meeting of the IBA in Vancouver which took place early October 2010. The primary objective of this committee is to promote awareness within the business community and among transactional lawyers of the growing significance of legal compliance. The committee has been focusing on the new trends of international cooperation in criminal matters. Topics covered in recent seminars include discussions on money laundering issues and on the new legal framework designed to combat bribery and corrupt practices in international business transactions. Prior to this appointment, Marc Henzelin was co-Vice-Chair (2008-2010) and Secretary (2006-2008) of the Committee.
