Philipp Estermann joined LALIVE in 2022. He specialises in complex domestic and international dispute resolution, with a particular focus on corporate and commercial disputes. He also advises clients on matters of software contracts, antitrust/competition, asset recovery, insolvency, and data protection law.
Prior to joining LALIVE, Philipp Estermann was the Senior Corporate Counsel for EMEA at a software company in the Silicon Valley and London (2019-2022), practiced as an associate at a renowned business law firm in Zurich (2016-2018), and served as a law clerk at the District Court of Horgen, Switzerland (2011-2014).
Philipp Estermann holds a Ph.D. from the University of St. Gallen (2016; awarded the Professor Walther Hug Prize), an LL.M. from UC Berkeley (2018; Honours: Dean’s List) and an M.A. in Law & Economics from the University of St. Gallen (2010; exchange semesters at University of Lausanne and Manchester Business School). His doctoral thesis explores manufacturer’s suggested retail prices from an antitrust law and an economical perspective.
