LALIVE Counsel Sandrine Giroud appointed officer of the IBA Litigation Committee
26 February 2015The International Bar Association (IBA) has appointed LALIVE Counsel Sandrine Giroud as officer of its Litigation Committee.
The IBA Litigation Committee works closely with the Arbitration, Consumer Litigation, Mediation, and Negligence and Damages Committees to form the Dispute Resolution Section and focuses on the legal, practical and procedural issues involved in conducting litigation with a particular focus on international litigation, including issues such as jurisdiction, choice of law, and the role of international judicial assistance in dispute resolution. In doing so, the Committee seeks to explore the differences of approach between common and civil law traditions, with an aim to encourage dialogue between practitioners from the two systems.
